How to delete your data.

The short version.

  • Email luke@socialmediator.net and ask us to delete your data. We confirm it is you, delete it within 30 days, and tell you when it is done.
  • If your business connected WhatsApp through us, you can also disconnect it yourself at any time.

1. If your business connected WhatsApp through us

Your business connected its WhatsApp account to our app, Social Mediator Connect, through the AI Concierge or AIOS platform. To stop and delete:

  1. Disconnect. In the platform you use, open the WhatsApp settings and click Disconnect. We delete our access token straight away.
  2. Remove the app on Meta's side (optional). In Meta Business Suite, open Business settings, find Social Mediator Connect under your apps or integrations, and remove it. This ends our access from Meta's side too.
  3. Ask us to delete the rest. Email luke@socialmediator.net from an address we know for your business, with your business name and WhatsApp number, and ask us to delete your data. We delete the messages, templates and account details we hold for your WhatsApp account.

Your WhatsApp account and phone number belong to your business, in your own Meta business portfolio. Deleting your data with us does not delete them, and it does not delete copies held by Meta or WhatsApp, or the messages on your own phone. For those, see the WhatsApp Privacy Policy.

2. If you messaged a business we work for

When you message a business on WhatsApp, that business decides how your information is used, and we handle it on its behalf. To have your messages deleted:

  • Ask the business directly, or
  • Email luke@socialmediator.net with the WhatsApp number you used and the name of the business. We pass your request to the business within 5 business days and act on its instructions.

To stop receiving messages from a business, reply STOP to it on WhatsApp.

3. Anyone else

If you contacted us, worked with us or visited this website, email luke@socialmediator.net with your name and the email address or phone number the request relates to, and ask us to delete your data.

4. What happens next

  • We email you a reference number when we get your request. You can reply to that email at any time to check on it.
  • We confirm who you are, so we never delete someone else's data by mistake.
  • We delete your data within 30 days and email you when it is done. Copies in our backups are removed within 30 days.
  • We may keep a small amount of information where the law requires it, for example invoices. If we cannot delete something, we tell you what it is and why.
